Topps, MagX plan to ‘bowl over’ attendees at 2013 Summit

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

LAS VEGAS (December 31, 2012) – Thanks to The Topps Company and The Magazine Exchange, one of the most popular Industry Summit social events will return in force in 2013.

Topps and MagX have agreed to once again co-host the Summit Bowling Bonanza, a featured social event during the March 17-20 sports collectible industry trade conference. More than 250 independent retailers and special guests will join Topps executives and MagX owner Roger Barry for an evening of celebration and competition at The Orleans Hotel & Casino’s 70-lane bowling facility.

“The bowling tournament allow us to have some fun in a relaxed setting, and also continue the networking and idea exchange that is such a valuable part of the Industry Summit,’’ said Barry, in his 36th year leading the respected Magazine Exchange distributorship.

Participants in the Topps/MagX Bowling Tournament will receive authentic Topps bowling shirts, and will compete in a relaxed setting for an array of unique Topps-branded prizes.

“We’re pleased to continue to support Roger Barry and his team at The Magazine Exchange as they find new and unique ways to engage customers,’’ said David Reel, Topps Director of Hobby Sales. “Everyone at Topps had a blast at last year’s bowling party, and we can’t wait to renew the friendly competition in 2013.’’
