August 2, 2019
Today at the National Sports Collector’s Convention in Chicago, The Industry Summit (A Beckett Media Conference), the premier B2B Conference for the collectibles industry, announced 10x NL All Star Steve Garvey as a keynote speaker.
The 2019 Industry Summit will take place September 15-18 at the Westgate Resort & Casino in Las Vegas. The conference brings together licensors, licensees, distributors and retailers for four days of interaction, networking, a golf event, panel discussions, a bowling tournament, manufacturer presentations and industry awards. It is an industry-only event. For registration information and more visit www.theindustrysummit.com
As a highlight of this year’s agenda, Steve Garvey will motivate, inspire and entertain the summit with his address: The Ultimate Teammate – Strategies For Goal-Setting, Winning and Leadership in Business.
Garvey brings the same drive and leadership that were cornerstones of his career to help business leaders become the best and most successful people they can be. His playing field has changed but his devotion, integrity and intensity remain as strong as in his days as the National League’s Iron Man.
In addition to his 10 All Star appearances, Garvey won four Gold Gloves. He was the National League MVP in 1974, All Star Game in MVP in 1974 & 1978, NL Playoff MVP in 1974, 1978 and 1984. He was a leader on the World Series Champion Los Angeles Dodgers team in 1981.
He is also widely recognized for his service to others. He was awarded the Lou Gehrig Award, baseball’s most prestigious award for humanitarian service. He continues to be a highly sought after motivational speaker across the country.
Industry Summit co-host, Ted Barker of Beckett Media said, “It’s the goal of the Summit team to put together a program in which every moment of every session throughout the four days is worthwhile for the attendees. Not only will Steve Garvey be entertaining, he will present compelling and motivational lessons our group can take with them and incorporate into their best business and life practices. We are thrilled to have him with us.”
